"Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses, the fragrance of His knowledge in every place." 2 Corinthians 2:14
by Lesley Hooper
If I could look back and see her just once more, it would all be worth it.
To feel her touch, kiss her lips, to be with her.
To hear her say my name,
To see her beside me.
Instead, I just see a glimpse of that life in my rear-view.
And what is in the past is not in the now or future.
I look forward to see who is there next.
No one in sight, not sure if love exists again.
Will there be someone who is my companion?
Then, I see the Driver of my life has this.
He is in the future, he is in the now, and
He is in the rear-view mirror.
Christ, the only one who is in it all!
He reminds me that He has this.
That love will come in time.
I will not be alone as He is always there.
So he let's me see the rear-view to remember where I have been.
Then he shows me the future.
And says "It will be better then you can imagine!"
It is in the now though that I find comfort and a companion in Christ!
